We finally decided what we wanted to get each other for Mother's Day and Father's Day....we got a Nintendo Wii! (Wait...side note...let me be honest here. WE didn't decide this...Brent decided that I "needed" one for Mother's Day, and I found out by seeing the debit on our banking site. I thought our debit card had been stolen, had a COW, and about bit Brent's head off when I found out it was him...but it's all good now.) We are having the most fun with it!! We also got the Wii Fit program that goes with it. If you haven't seen these yet, it's a device that looks like a scale, and you can play balancing games, do step aerobics, weigh yourself (eek!). It's the coolest thing.
Sophie has a new word...."NO!" I knew it was coming sooner or later, but she certainly uses it regularly now. Often it's accompanied by kicking or throwing herself on the ground. Do boys go through such a "drama" stage? I swear...she's quite the drama queen. She is learning a lot of other words, too--flower (pronounced "hour"), apple, and nine. If you count slowly to ten, she'll yell out "nine!" after you say eight. I'm not sure why she picked that number to remember, but it seems to be her favorite. Brent swears that it's because "nein" is the German word for "no." :-)
Dad and Louise will be here tonight! I'll try to get some good pictures!

Just read your blogs from the past month or so. Sorry I haven't commented in a while. I have NOT been a good blogger myself lately, but I did update this week. I am happy to hear your family is recovering :-) but was sad to hear so many different illnesses. :-( I hope to not have to hear about any more hospital trips (or at least the bad ones). I will pray for good health for you all! Your kids are beautiful! Loved the 'hawks! Your daughter looks just like you! I want one of those Wii's too! My aunt left hers at my house for a week while she was busy helping my grandparents and I am hooked! LOVE tennis, bowling, fishing and cow racing!!! TOO fun! It's on my wish list now! :-) MISS YOU! {HUGS}
Yes, boys are the same! LOL! My least favorite thing about the 2 year old is the tantrums and the "for no reason" meltdowns where all the bones in their body magically turn to liquid! haha! The other day Decovin used his first finger and pointed at me and told me very sternly: "NO Mommy!" How does one stay calm in a situation like that?! I tried as calmly as I could to tell him that we don't point at mommy or daddy like or adults for that matter...but at two, I am sure it went in one ear and out the other...I guess he learns from us and I point at him and tell him no! when he is doing something REALLY bad. Makes me feel like a bad mom when stuff like that happens. *sigh* What's a mom to do?
I love reading your blog and seeing the pictures. Your kiddos are so cte!
