Brent gave us a scare on Sunday night, and was taken to the hospital for chest pains and shortness of breath. They checked him over really well and ran a bunch of tests, and couldn't find anything conclusive. They ruled out any heart condition, so his doctor is now treating him with prescriptions for inflammation and possible acid reflux. We still don't think we've found the root of the problem, but he's feeling much better! We did discover that he has a BAD reaction to morphine, so he won't be able to take that anymore. I hope he's never in bad enough pain to need it!
On a side note, the ER isn't nearly as exciting as TV shows it, is it?! Jerry and I were bored out of our minds while Brent was resting...
More pics of the kids coming soon! The boys are holding their own bottles now--I have some cute pictures of them that I'll post soon.

Arthritis Walk Today!
What a perfect day for the Arthritis Walk! The event was at the zoo this morning, and it was a great success! Lots of walkers, and a lot of money was raised for the Arthritis Foundation. The kids were on their BEST behavior--I couldn't believe how great it was. We even had some time afterward to watch the penguins being fed! Brent had to work today, and we were sad he missed it.
This is a picture of us with our friend Patti--it was great to have her to walk with today! The walkers that battle arthritis were given a blue ball cap to wear, and they had a group photo taken for the event. I couldn't believe how many young people and KIDS battle arthritis! It was amazing to see.
Our little "walkers"--Blake and Graham napped for a while.
Sophie was enjoying herself (and the sucker Maria gave her!). Isn't this the cutest hairbow??
Afterward we went to lunch with Patti, Laura, Brian, Maria, Sarah, Jason, Eldon and Austin. The kids were on their best behavior then, too! Mommy is so proud!! :-)
Blake, how much fun did you have today? THIS MUCH....!!

Sick babies
These poor boys have been sick for almost two weeks now. Blake and Graham are now on breathing treatments to help with their wheezing, and Sophie has a cough, too. My doctor gave me steroids and antibiotics to see if that will help my cough, but I think we've just picked up yet ANOTHER nasty virus! Other than the cough, you wouldn't know they're sick--they're all happy as can be! Here are some cute pictures of the boys doing their breathing treatments:
The mask they're wearing is a little fish face. It has eyes and orange fins on the side. The blue string is the elastic that goes around their head to help it stay on. The treatment only takes about seven minutes, but sometimes it's a LONG seven minutes! They do pretty well with it as long as I'm rocking and entertaining them.
Here's a cute picture of Sophie playing in the yard as an added bonus. :-)

Happy Earth Day!
Happy Earth Day! This is a picture of the tree in front of our house in full bloom. Isn't it beautiful?? Brent held Sophie up in it so I could get this picture of her--she liked smelling the flowers.
To celebrate the day, the boys are in their new "BUGS" outfits from Grandma & Grandpa Schuler. I thought it was appropriate for today. :-)

Blake & Graham's first eye doctor appointment
Brent's sister (Aunt Becky) works for an eye doctor, and their vision group does free eye exams for children under 1. (Isn't it amazing that doctors can check things like vision and hearing on children that young??) So, the boys had their very first eye exam this week! These are pictures of Dr. Taylor checking the boys...notice Sophie watching over Blake's shoulder. :-)
She didn't even have to take them out of the stroller! It was like a "drive-thru" appointment! Ha! Dr. Taylor was awesome--she's amazing with the kids, and we'll be seeing her again when Sophie is 3 for another checkup. An embarrassing "mommy" confession--she had finished their exam when I realized I hadn't taken any pictures...she put the equipment back on and "posed" for these pictures. I am a complete geek, I know--but I got cute pictures, didn't I?! Dr. Taylor said she does a lot of picture posing for moms, so I didn't feel so bad. (I shouldn't have admitted that...Becky will never let us come back to see one of their doctors again!!)
Did everyone watch the KU game last night?! ROCK CHALK!! My brother John lives in Memphis, so I'm wondering where his loyalties lie for the final game on Monday. Maybe we should put a friendly wager on this game???

Two teeth...a hot water heater...and a puppy. Oh my!
Here we are! Sorry it's been a while since our last post! Where does the time go?? GRAHAM GOT HIS TWO BOTTOM TEETH! Blake is working on his, but no teeth yet.
You'll be happy to know that I fed Dad a little better this time (if you recall, last time he was here we ate take-out the whole time!). We had manicotti for dinner, applesauce cake for dessert and broccoli quiche and biscuits for breakfast. Pretty great, eh?! I can't take credit for any of it, though--Jessica brought the manicotti, Lucille (our neighbor) made the cake and one of the girls in my frozen supper club made the quiche. It was all wonderful! One of these days I'll cook again?!
